Unique match under these rules
“No matching record” means none was found in these two files under your selected rules. It does not prove a receipt is missing. A match does not verify a document’s authenticity or accounting treatment.

A FEW USEFUL DETAILS
Know what the check covers.
How does matching work?
The tool compares the exact amount and currency, merchant name (ignoring case and extra spaces), and dates within your selected window. It only marks a pair as matching when each has one unique candidate with those fields. Different names, repeated purchases and shared candidates stay in review. It does not split payments or combine receipts.
How do I prepare my files?
Export purchases from your bank or card statement and export the receipt log you already keep. Keep purchase amounts positive, dates in YYYY-MM-DD form, and currency codes such as CAD or USD. Include a unique ID for each row; a stable row number is sufficient if your export lacks one. Select the corresponding columns after loading each file. Remove transfers, repayments, refunds and other non-purchases first.
Your receipt log must describe documents you actually have. A list of all booked expenses without document information is not a reliable receipt inventory. If preparing that log requires typing every receipt, this version is unlikely to save you time.
What happens to my data?
This tool reads and compares files in your browser. It sends no file contents to a server, uses no AI API, and stores no records in cookies or browser storage. Clear files & results, or close the page, to clear the tool’s working data. Downloaded reports remain on your device. The surrounding website may have its own ordinary access logs.
What should I do with the result?
Review uncertain matches against the original documents. Use the unmatched list to check your folders or follow up for records. Keep different currencies separate. The report is a review aid, not an audit, tax determination or guarantee that your books are complete.
